CERESIA, Madeline Mary - age 93, of Linden, died Friday, August 23, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Ryan Riley celebrant. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Gabriel Project at St. John, Fenton or Heart to Heart Hospice. Madeline was born December 8, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Eileen (Gartland) Morrison. She was a graduate of St. Michael Catholic High School. Madeline married Joseph G. Ceresia on September 28, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2016. Madeline was the heart of the family, her number one love was being a mom and a grandma. She was loving, caring, non-judgmental and always made everyone feel welcome. She loved being Irish and always gave very wise advice to those who asked. Madeline enjoyed sewing and even made clothes for her children when they were young. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: eight children, Carol and husband John Whaley of Fenton, Christine Miller of Fenton, Nancy and husband Thomas Miller of Linden, Patricia and husband Stephen Peltier of Linden, Leanne Ceresia and George Patru of Grand Blanc, Joseph and wife Dana Ceresia of Linden, David Ceresia of Flint, and Anthony and wife Lori Ceresia of Dearborn; 23 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents, granddaughter, Angela Carnel; brother, Vincent; two sisters, Marie McDonald and Kathryn Morrison; son-in-law, Daryl Miller. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Becky Kresling, Aides Supervisor at Cartel Inns of Linden, Jill Stadel, Primary Care Nurse with Heart to Heart Hospice and all the staff at Caretel, especially aides in Degas House Inn and Monet House Inn who were so loving and caring to our mother.
