FORD, Vernell (Rowell) Loving Mother - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, went to be with the LORD on Tuesday July 2, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12PM Saturday, July 6, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location, Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Pastor Walt Rose Officiating. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Vernell was born March 14,1938 in Cullman, AL, the daughter of the late William Dwynell and Vernie Mae (Harp) Rowell. She married Kenneth Morris Ford in 1955 in Gaffney, South Carolina and he preceded her in death in 2010. Vernell loved babysitting and taking care of her family. She retired from Flint Heights Terrace with 13 years of service and was a long time standing member and enjoyed Bible Studies at Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are: children, Patsy (Ken)McGee, Kenneth Ray ( girlfriend Stephanie) Ford, Larry (Becky) Ford; grandchildren, Tom (Becky) Ford, Brett (girlfriend Angie) Ford, Ashley Ford, Angie (Colin) Mackie - Smith, Nick (girlfriend Rachel) Ford, Andrea (Ryan) Catanese; 11 great grandchildren and best friend, Sally Wurtz. She is also survived by her brothers, Lloyd (Karen) Rowell, Jerry (Cherly) Rowell and many nieces and nephews.
