CRITTENDEN, Donald J. – of Davison, age 77, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Elder Bill Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 1-5 PM Sunday and 10-1 & 3-8 PM Monday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oscoda Church of Christ, 5726 Cedar Lake Rd., Oscoda, MI 48750.
Donald was born in Flint, MI on November 15, 1935, son of the late Donald J. and Elizabeth (Caddy) Crittenden. He married Linda Grover on October 1, 1955. Donald worked at the GM Metal Fabrication Division for 33 years. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #659. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, feeding the birds and reading western novels. Donald’s favorite hobby was woodcarving and he was a member of the Oscoda Sunrise Side Woodcarvers. He also attended the Oscoda Church of Christ and the Davison Church of Christ.
Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda; children, Denise (Bill) Silvernale, Michael (Karen) Crittenden, Dawn (Geoffrey) Gale; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
