BENNETT, Dennie "Denny" E. - age 71, of Flushing, passed away October 28,2024. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1p.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3rd from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Dennie was born June 10, 1953 in Erwin, Tennessee. He married Karen Sue Robinson in Rankin in 1977. Denny retired from General Motors as a skilled trades painter. After retirement he spent winters in Florida. He and his wife, Karen Sue enjoyed boating for many years. Surviving are: wife, Karen Sue Bennett; sister, Mary (Susy) DiCosola; brother-in-law, David (Carmen) Cramer; Goddaughter, Michelle (Alex) Liikala; nieces, Andrea (Chris) Atkinson and Stephanie Hatherill; aunts, Priscilla Saylor, Phyllis (Craig) Masters, Catherine (Gilbert) Arenas, and Robbie Tipton, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Irene (Bennett) Robinson, and in-laws Wayne and Jean Robinson, Ricky Bennett (cousin), Peggy Seeley (aunt), James Bennett, and Kenneth Bennett (uncles).
