PERKINS, V. Blanche – of Fenton, age 90, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Fenton Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. John Neelands officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-7 PM and on Sunday from 1 PM until time of services at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Vicki Perkins for a memorial garden, in memory of Blanche, to be constructed at a later date.
Blanche was born August 15, 1925, in Pike County, MO to the late Harding Berry and Naomiea (Raniey) Carr. She lived in the Clio and Mt. Morris areas most of her life. She married James William Perkins on May 10, 1946, in Ft. Knox, KY. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1981. Mrs. Perkins was employed at Pettits in Clio and Schaupp’s Clio Bakery. She enjoyed bowling, golf, knitting, cooking, sewing and crafts, quilting, was a music fan and loved to go dancing.
Surviving are: Daughter, Vicki Perkins and husband Robert Langworthy of Mt. Morris; 3 granddogs; Many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Please sign our guest book, or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
