HINDS, Joseph Ervin - age 56, of Owosso, formerly of Gaines, died Friday, July 19, 2013. Services will be held 5 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Joseph E. Hinds Memorial Fund. Joseph was born November 24, 1956 in Flint, the son of John and Shirley (Barrett) Hinds. He married Sandra L. Behrens on July 8, 1978. Joe retired from General Motors in 2006 and owned Pony Express Photo and Frames, LLC in Owosso. He was a member of the Shiawassee HOG chapter and had been a volunteer firefighter in Gaines and EMT with DVA for many years. Left to cherish his memory are: wife, Sandy; two daughters, Heidi (Tobias) Campbell of Flint, Victoria Hinds of Marcellus, MI; three grandchildren, Cameron, Abbygail and Kattie Campbell; three sisters, Debbie (Mark) Propps, Mary (Andy) Warren, Brenda (Mark) Pryor; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
