Arnott, Paul James, Sr. - Age 68 of Grand Blanc, has left us on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 to continue his journey and exploration while still keeping an eye on us. Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, November 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Bryan Spooner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery . Visitation will be 11 AM - 1 PM Wednesday.
Little Paul was born July 10, 1949 in Green Bay, WI. His father Andrew Ferguson Arnott and mother Janet Helen Baranowski were delighted to have their first boy and only baby boy. He grew up here in Michigan and did not live an average life. Paul married Sandy Darene Hancock on September 10th 1987 in Fenton. He was a MASTER Electrician at GM Metal Fab in Flint and helped many of his family members with their electrical issues.
Paul was known for his wittiness, rebelliousness, and tell it like it is attitude. He had a larger than life personality and never held back his opinion, brutally honest was his trademark which made him so great. Paul was also well known for his harmonica and guitar skills, and his sweet tooth. He spent most of his days playing the blues, making up nicknames and jokes for everyone he met, and driving his wife of 30 years a little crazy. He was a dedicated hockey coach, giving many players (including his children) long successful careers. He was a little bit of a drill sergeant to his 2 children teaching them obedience, dedication, willingness, love, and how to survive this crazy wonderful world. Paul also taught them to never give up and it was ok to have fun! He loved his children and wife unconditionally creating and giving them a life anyone would be grateful to have. He was the best dad in the world.
Surviving are: his beloved wife, Sandy; daughter, Rachelle Kay Arnott; and son, Paul James Arnott, Jr. He has left us here on earth but we know he’s still with us in our hearts forever. We love you Dad. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
