BOYD, BEATRICE MARILYN age 83, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Owosso Hospice House. Funeral Services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint, with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Pastor Pete Scribner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Beatrice was born April 7, 1934 to parents Glen and Mary (Gandy) Hoover. Graduating from Midland High School in 1952, then working for Dow Corning for 10 years prior to moving to Flint. Beatrice married Ernest Boyd in October 1963. She worked for Ternstedt / Fisher Body for 28 years, retiring in 1991. She loved cooking, reading, traveling, playing cards, and board games with family and friends. Beatrice was very active in her Church. Surviving are son Marshall (Tammy) Boyd; grandchildren Danielle (Nicholas) Killoran, Matthew Boyd; sisters Wanda Azelton, Sandra (Beryl) Sedrick; nephews Christopher (Yolanda) Azelton, and Andrew Azelton. Preceded in death by husband Ernest Boyd in 1980; her parents Glen Hoover and Lavern and Mary (Gandy) Hillis; brother Gary Hoover; sister Laurie Elizabeth Hillis; brother-in-law Ron Azelton and nephew Brian Azelton. The family would like to give a special thanks to Doctors and Nurses of McLaren Hospital and the staff of Owosso Hospice House. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Owosso Hospice House or the Calvary Presbyterian Church.
