REINKE, Eugene J., Sr. – of Flint, age 74, passed away January 30, 2016 at MediLodge of Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St. Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-3 PM and 5-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at church. A Memorial Service, under the auspices of Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #4090 of Davison will be held at 6 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Eugene was born in Port Hope, MI on May 28, 1941, son of the late John and Anna (Zick) Reinke. He married Ruth Conley on April 22, 1961 in Sebewaing, MI. Eugene was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4090 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Davison Chapter. He loved to hunt, fish, and play horseshoes. Eugene enjoyed camping and anything outdoors. He liked to bowl and was a loving father and a dedicated caregiver to his adored wife, Ruth.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Eugene (Dawn) Reinke, Jr., Roxanna (Norman) Clifton, Gregory (Heather) Reinke; 7 grandchildren, Norman (Nikki) Clifton III, Josh Reinke, Crystal Clifton, Alicia Reinke, Gregory Reinke, Jr., Kaitlin Reinke; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler Brant, Brayden Brant, Landon Clifton, Madeline Clifton, Aubriana Smith; many nieces and nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by his siblings, Walt (Amy) Reinke, Herb (Helen) Reinke, Francis (Art) Fisher, Gertrude (Ray) Williams.
