On July 16, 2020, Frances Daniels passed away after falling ill just two days prior. At her death she was surrounded by her three children who had only a month ago celebrated her 90th birthday with her. Frances was a lifelong Michigander, having been born in Detroit on June 22, 1930, and lived at various times in Bay City, Fenton, Saginaw, Flint, and Grand Blanc. She was the daughter of Oliver Lee Stanley and Kathryn Marguerite Kerns.
She married John Daniels in 1952 and they spent 58 years as a married couple. Together they enjoyed golfing as members of the Spring Meadows Country Club, and bowling, and won several trophies and tournaments. She and John were avid bridge players and they would lovingly critique (argue about) each other’s skills. After John’s retirement they traveled abroad several times and wintered in their Florida home at The Villages.
John passed away in 2010. Frances is survived by her three children; Craig (Suzanne) Daniels of Reston, Virginia; Amy (Jeff) Jacoob of Fishers, Indiana; and Leslee (Craig) Jordan of Grand Blanc, Michigan. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Philip, Nicholas and Erin Jordan; Pamela and Thomas Daniels; and Kaylee Jacoob. She leaves behind her brother-in-law Ron (Bonnie) Daniels, former sister-in-law Barbara Daniels; nieces and nephew Judy, Lisa, Laura, and Stan. She was pre-deceased by her sister and brother-in-law Eileen (Barry) Avery. She will also be greatly missed by her feline companion of the last 10 years, TK (Trouble Kitty). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in her name. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 9:30am until time of mass at Holy Family Catholic Church in the Fr. Bush Parish Center - 11804 S.
