KOTOWICZ, Frank “Sonny” John Jr. - age 81, of Flint, MI passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 12PM-9PM with a Rosary Service at 7PM at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 12PM with one hour of visitation prior at Holy Rosary Catholic Church – 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506. Interment to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Frank was born October 29, 1933 in Flint, MI to the late Frank and Helen Kotowicz Sr.. He married Phyllis Minglecook on July 2, 1955. Frank worked for General Motors before retiring after 37 years of employment. He was a proud UAW member, loved to do wood carving, bowling, polka dancing, and collecting die cast cars. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, card and board games, and taking trips to the casino. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Kotowicz; children, Susan (Doug ) Arden, Linda (Mark) Rice, Larry (Jeanie) Kotowicz, Deborah (Steve) McKillop, John Kotowicz and Amy Ellard, Cheryl (Christian) Ruppel; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; sisters, Rose Marie (Dr. Richard) Shick, Joan (Terrance) Boyer; brother, Dr. William (Michelle) Kotowicz; brother-in-law, Leonard Gauthier, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Mary Koziol. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
