Hawkins, Ralph R. of Prescott, formerly of Flint, age 65, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at his home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. June 23, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Ralph was born in Flint, Michigan on July 15, 1949, the son of Ralph and Norene (Rolfe) Hawkins. He was a graduate of Flushing High School. Ralph had been employed by General Motors for over 30 years. He was a licensed scuba diver instructor. Ralph's hobbies included photography and electronics and he enjoyed playing chess and backgammon.
He is survived by his son, James and wife Angie Hawkins of Birch Run; four grandchildren, Paige, Raelyn, Morgan, Shane; brother, Brent Hawkins of Flushing; three sisters, Debra Bueche of Flushing, Lynn Cassidy of Prescott, Brenda and husband Ken Faber of Flushing; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great-nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Hawkins; and granddaughter, Bailey Hawkins. |
