HOTARY, James – age 71, passed away on December 8, 2018 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. James was born on Oct 2, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Andrew and Rose Hotary. He was raised in Centerline, Michigan and later moved to Grand Blanc. James was drafted for the Vietnam War and proudly served in the United States Army in South Korea. On December 3, 1977 in Centerline, Michigan James married the love of his life, Barbara Appleton. He worked as Senior Draftsman for General Motors at Powertrain, part-time professor at Mott Community College for 15 years, and an architect. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. James was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, James (Michelle) Hotary, Daniel Hotary; grandchildren: Hudson, Jameson, Abraham; brother, Albert (Pam) Hotary; nephews, Kevin Hotary and James Hotary and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Rose Hotary. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice in memory of James. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30am with one hour of visitation prior to the mass with Fr. Bill Wegher celebrating at Holy Family Catholic Church – 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at Hill Funeral Home -11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. |
