POPOFF, Peter - Of Davison, age 39, fell asleep to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 31, 2012.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton,
Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
Visitation 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Parastas Service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Peter will be at the church 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
Peter was born in Flint on April 5, 1972 to Alex and Magda Popoff. Peter graduated from Davison High School. He was the proud owner of Starlite Coney Island and loved by many of his patrons. Peter touched many lives with his beautiful smile, giving heart and always placed others before himself. He was and always will be treasured by all. Rest in God’s hands our beloved angel “Petruche”.
Surviving are the apples of his eye, son, Michael and daughter, Haley both age 8;
Parents, Alex and Magda;
Brother, Kosta (Sue);
Sister, Helen (John) Naum and Baba Eleni Servinis;
Nieces, Kirsten and Maggie;
Nephews, Alexander, Jesse and Christian;
Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Starlite family.
