Age 77, of Davison, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Ray was born on June 15, 1937 in Flint, MI, son of Paul and Rosemary Wittum (Grimes). Ray grew up in the Grand Blanc area before joining the US Army. He married Sharon Schlothauer on August 17, 1957. Ray retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing after a career in skilled trades. Ray was a member of the UAW, and served with his brothers and sisters in Christ at Heritage Baptist Church in Grand Blanc. Ray loved metal detecting and being with his family. Ray is survived by his wife, daughter Terri (Ron) Stauffer of Auburn Hills, MI, daughter Laurie (Roger) Baywol of Grand Blanc, MI, brother Richard Wittum of Flushing, MI, sister Joan (Morrie) Hockamier of Phoenix, AZ, sister Patricia (Norm) Humphrey of Prescott, AZ, granddaughters Shannon, Megan, Rachel, Lauren, and Lindsay, and great-grandchildren Avery, Aidan, and Adalynn. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law Ethel.
