DeEtta E. (Dorr) Pratt formerly of Flushing, age 84, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at MediLodge of Montrose. This day our mother is in paradise, free of all pain, sorrow and suffering! Thank you Jesus! Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
DeEtta was born in Flint, MI on November 9, 1927, the daughter of Temple E. and Julia (Kendall) Dorr. She was a Real Estate Broker, starting her career in 1970 at Century 21 Woodlawn Realty in Flushing, and then opening her own business, Dee Pratt Realty, in 1981 in Flushing. She retired in the 1990’s and moved to Naples, FL and lived there several years enjoying the sun before returning to Flushing.
DeEtta is survived by: son, Lynn and wife Tammy Pratt of Flushing and their children, Carly, Caity, Tyler and Trent; son, Barry and wife Cindy Pratt of Flushing and their children, Abbie and husband Dave Orr and Jessie and husband Mark Rowley; son, Brian Pratt and Diane Pratt of Flushing and their children, Leanne and Gregg and fiancée Amanda Sherman; a special dear, Loretta Higdon; six great-grandchildren, Aiden, Olivia, Madeline, Michael, Jacob and Alexa; sister, Joyce and husband Jack Harms of Flushing; brother-in-law, Johnny Searight of Clarkston; and was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jason, brother, Daniel Dorr; sister, June Searight; and her best friend, William “Bud” Pratt.
She lives on through us through her teaching of love, honesty, serving, and hard work. |
