FINATERI, Lorenzo, Sr. - of Lapeer, MI, age 81, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020. A Private Service will be held. Lorenzo will be laid to rest next to his wife, Sandra Finateri, in Davison Cemetery.
Lorenzo was born in Patrica, Italy on September 2, 1938, son of the late Luigi & Violina (Salvati) Finateri. He came to the United States with his father in 1956. In 1959, Lorenzo founded Sicily Pizzeria and continued to be a part of the family owned business for the next 60 years.
Lorenzo is survived by 3 children, Sue (Steve) Hatten, Violina Anne (Tim) Macko and Lorenzo (Susan) Finateri, Jr.; 6 grandchildren, Bobby, Ashley, Danielle, Haley, Nicholas and Jacob; 3 great-grandchildren, Remington, Madilyn and Owen; 2 siblings, Giovanni (Heather) Finateri and Toni (James) Lott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Violina Finateri; wife, Sandra Finateri and his good friend, Nelson “RED” Pyles.
