CARR, Anita Ruth - Of Flushing, age 81, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
A memorial service will be held on May 5th, 11AM, at Sunset Hills Cemetery followed by a hosted luncheon at Sorrento’s Restaurant. You can RSVP via email to robcarr.rc@gmail.com .
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Michigan Humane Society in Anita’s name.
Anita was born in Detroit on September 12, 1936 and was the daughter of Louise "Billie" Rhodes-Hassinger. She attended Michigan State University and graduated from the University of Michigan Flint. She retired from the Carman-Ainsworth School District after 28 year teaching career. Following her retirement, she worked for Borders Books for 5 years.
Surviving are 2 sons; Robert and wife Janet Carr of Harbor Springs, MI, her grandchildren Emily and Kathleen, and Jeffery and wife Janette Tomlinson of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
