Brannon, Herbert Paul - Age 65, of Lapeer, went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Monday, January 20, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Brian Oswald officiating. Visitation will be held 5PM to 8PM Saturday, 11AM to 8PM Sunday and 1PM until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Glad Tidings Tabernacle Future Development Fund. Herbert was born in Flint, Michigan on January 28, 1948 the son of the late James A. and Demetris A. (Campbell) Brannon. He married the love of his life, Linda (Lindsey) in Flint on August 6, 1966. Herb worked for Buick Motor Division in Flint, Michigan for 47 years. He was a journeyman pipefitter known as Pipefitter 225. Herb also served as a Union Steward for U.A.W. local 599 for many years. He was an extremely active member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle, where he was a board member for 37 years. Herb started the Davison Youth Wrestling Club and was one of the founding men to bring the Mid-Michigan Wrestling Association (M.M.W.A.) to Genesee County. Surviving are: wife, Linda of Lapeer; sons, Michael (Suzanne Clancy) Brannon of Holly, Marc (Lisa) Brannon of Davison, Matthew (Melissa) Brannon of Davison,: grandchildren, Kory, Chelsea, Ashtyn, Taylor, Logan (Kalie) Brannon, Matthew, Makenzie, Hanna, Brendan; great grandchildren, Tayzer, Remyngton; sisters, Laverne (Graham) Hiscock, Dorothy (Glasco) Cooper, Jeannet Barton all of Burton; beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death also by his brothers, Bill, Bob, David, Gary, Larry and sister Sharon Morrish. Herb wanted to be quoted as saying " I would hope you would meet me on the other side."
