WAUN, Patricia A. - Of Clio, age, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Stephen Anthony and Pastor Tom Graham officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan on April 9, 1934 to John and Elizabeth McCulley. She married Gerald Waun on September 8, 1957. They were blessed with two sons, Gordon and Leland Dale. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Pat graduated from Flint Central High School in 1952 and attended nursing school to become a licensed practical nurse and worked in the medical field. She was a member of Flint First Wesleyan Church for many years and was active in the music department as a soloist, choir member and part of the McCulley Sisters Trio. She attended New Covenant Free Methodist Church in Clio and was again active in the music department. Recently she attended Flint Central Church of the Nazarene. Patricia enjoyed spending winters in Florida with family and friends. Surviving are her
husband, Gerald; sons, Gordon and wife Patty Waun of Port Charlotte, Florida, Leland Dale and wife Cathy Waun of Clio; grandchildren, Gary Waun of Port Charlotte, Florida, Dr. Amber Waun of Ypsilanti and Joshua Waun of Port Charlotte, Florida; sisters, Wanda and husband Frank Blewett of Davison, Elizabeth "Betty Ann" and husband Paul Merritt of Clio; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Connie Lanfear and Barbara Sims.
