JONES, Mona J. - Of Swartz Creek, age 85, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Regency at Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Faith Tabernacle, 1225 South Center Road, Burton,
Pastor Bruce Garner officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Faith Tabernacle Scholarship Fund.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday and 2-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Mona was born in Flint on May 24, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Betty (Biotta) Snidenbach. On April 2, 1949, she married John Linzy Jones and he preceded her in death in 2004. Mona was an active member of Faith Tabernacle Church for many years. She also participated in the Watchmen’s Prayer Group (Intercessory Prayer Group). She was also a reader at the school for young children. Mona enjoyed traveling to Florida with her husband after he retired.
Surviving are daughter, Kendra (Timothy) Marie Sutton;
son, John (Karrie) Jones;
grandchildren, April Parillo, Sarah (Dan) Styf, Katie (Jason) Charles, Ellie Jones, Max Jones, Eric Conn, Allison and Samantha Sutton;
great-grandchildren, Ben, Jacob and Andrew Parillo.
Mona was preceded in death by her husband, son, Jimmy Jones, brothers, Don, Wesley and Norman Snidenbach and sister, Ernestine Isaacson.
