Janet Rochelle Miller Martin, “Rocky” born May 26, 1934, passed away on December 13, 2017 at her home. Janet predeceased her husband of 39 yrs., Robert L Martin. Her children are Lora Dorland Terrill, Jeffrey Dorland, Scott Dorland (dec. 1977), and Paula Dorland Arntz; and her children by marriage, Lisa Martin Holderbaum, Tom Martin, Mike Martin, and Melanie Martin Pruett. As such, there are 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Janet was a long time resident of Lake Fenton, and later moved to Linden. Her father, Clarence F Miller, partnered with other community pioneers to create the first Lake Fenton School. Janet was a dedicated life long member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church. She drove bus for many years for Lake Fenton Schools and then retired from Hitchcock Dery Insurance, in Fenton. She treasured and adored her family and her many friends. There’s a sign in her house that says, “Old bus drivers never die, they just miss the bus.” God Bless you, Mom. A service will be held on January 6, 2018 at Lake Fenton United Methodist Church.
