CUPP, Walter M. – Of Grand Blanc, age 72, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at home on hospice.
A private funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Central Baptist Church, 2211 North Center Road, Flint, Pastor Carl Petty officiating. Please limit your attendance to the invited guests only in order to respect the families wishes. The service may be viewed online at www.facebook.com/CentralBaptistFlint/
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Central Baptist Church.
Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday at church until the time of service. Due to Covid-19 the family has requested that you limit your time during visitation to keep the number of guests at 50 or less.
Walter was born in Paragould, Arkansas, the son of the late Melvin F. and Alma (Carter) Cupp.
On October 30, 1998 he married Pearlie M. Fenner in Grand Blanc.
Walter was a former member of Heritage Baptist Church and attended Central Baptist Church.
He enjoyed motorcycles and dirt bike races. He was very mechanically inclined, very knowledgeable about cars and small engines. Walter had many fond memories made in his red Corvette.
Walter loved to go up North and experience nature, especially fishing and walking in the woods.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Walter was a proud member of the UAW.
Surviving are wife, Pearlie;
daughter, Janie (Jim) Elkins;
step-children, Dereck (Debbie) McClendon and Angela (Michael) McClendon-Mayes;
grandchildren, T.J. Elkins, Elise Elkins, Katrinell Davis, LaToya Crayton, Natia McClendon and Deja McClendon;
nieces and nephews, Robin Rainey, Mike Cupp and Michele Bowling. Special remembrances to the rest of the Hall family.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Cupp and Aline Cupp.
