FAIRMAN, Russell Bernard– of Genesee, age 90, passed away at his residence on December 21, 2017 of a broken heart after the sudden passing of his youngest son, Shawn in September and his beloved wife of 68 years Rosie, just one week ago. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Russell was born in Flint, MI on March 14, 1927, son of the late Earl and Ruba (Kincade) Fairman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Russell married Rosemary Sheldon on April 30, 1949 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint, MI. He retired from McDonalds Dairy and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Russell was a wonderful husband and father.
Russell is survived by his children, David Fairman, Dennis (Frances) Fairman, Timothy (Vicki) Fairman, Susan (Larry) Hendershott, Madonna Birch, Steven (Patty) Fairman; daughter-in-law, Lisa Fairman; grandchildren, Chris Fairman, Sherry (Toby) Anderson, Daniel Fairman, Aiden Fairman, Devon Fairman, Beau Fairman, Jennifer McCarley, Kevin Birch, Jeremy Fairman; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Cooper, Joseph, Ethan, Owen, Dylan, Gage; brother, Curtis (Kathleen) Fairman; sister-in-law, Ellen (Keith) Norton; many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary; son, Shawn Fairman; sister, Margaret Hedrick; brothers, Donald Fairman and Raymond Fairman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of MediCap Pharmacy and Evergreen Home Health Services for their care and compassion.
