JOHNSON, Karen Marie – Of Flint, age 81, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at The Landings of Genesee Valley.
Visitation 11 a.m. and Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Omar Odette officiating.
Cremation will take place after the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Karen was born in Crystal Falls, Michigan on April 19, 1937, the daughter of Edmund and Laura (Kohtamaki) Dumas.
She married James Johnson on October 16, 1954 in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Karen took great joy with her family. She enjoyed all types of music and loved dancing.
Mrs. Johnson was a Bank Teller in Michigan and Arizona.
Surviving are two sons, Mark (Linda) and James (Sheri);
5 grandchildren, Greg (Rebecca), Mark Allen, Steve, Brad (Rachel) and Paul;
5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Phillip, Emily, Audrey and Lillian;
sisters, Marjean (Bill)Dolan-Milley and Mary (Bob) Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Greg; parents, Edmund and Laura Dumas.
