BLAKESLEE, Margaret A.- of Montrose, age 73, died Monday, August 5, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Interment in Crestwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-8PM and Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the Family Worship Center in Montrose.
Margaret was born on November 2, 1939 in Flint, the daughter of the late Erma Bush. She married Robert Blakeslee on October 14, 1972. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2007. Margaret was a member of the Family Worship Center in Montrose and the Montrose Senior Center. She enjoyed fishing, racing, gardening, going to the rodeo and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: daughters, Tammy (Don) Perkins of Montrose, Rebecca Schanick (special friend, Al Boitel) of Montrose, Kim (Daniel) Therrien of Traverse City; 7 grandchildren, Donny and Mitchell Perkins, Chris and Danny Schanick, Katrina (Doug) Burtrum, Holly and Danielle Therrien; 6 great-grandchildren, Ayla, Sophia, Natalie, Reese, Jameson, Colette; mother-in-law, “grandma” Eula Johnson; aunt, Mary Easter; step-brother, David (Carol) Bush; step-sisters, Diane (Mike) Fejidelem, Karen Bush; beloved dog, “Maverick”; many other family members. She was preceded in death by: mother, Erma; husband, Robert Blakeslee; first-husband, Jack Johnson; step-sister, Susan Bush.
