Mrs. Laura Lea Hermstein (McColman) "Puddin' Head" graced us with her presence September 5th, 1957 and left this world to impart her wisdom on others September 9, 2020. She was the youngest of her large family and she was cherished by all of her siblings. Laura was a devoted wife to Pat Hermstein for 35 years. They shared three children, laughs, jokes, car rides, and fishing trips. 35 years wasn’t quite long enough but their love will last two lifetimes. Her children, Patrick, Phillip (Bubba Lou), and Beth were her proudest achievements. She left us all a little smarter, wiser, funnier, and louder. We will miss her contagious laugh and her supportive ways. Laura was the one you called if you needed advice on anything and everything. She always wanted to make sure you knew your worth and make sure you didn’t let anyone walk all over you. She built you up to feel confident and strong. Her family will remember her for her great strength. There was no one else quite like Laura. She was the brightest soul and everything about her showed that from her laugh to her style. According to Laura, If you're not getting looked at, you're doing it wrong! She always would say “Damn I'm pretty." And boy, she was. Laura always stood out in a crowd. Not just because of her beautiful purple hair, her gorgeous red lips or her cool hippie glasses. Laura was just cool. After you got the chance to speak to her, you would realize she was a smart cookie too, the real deal, the whole package. You will never meet anyone who loved her husband more than Laura did. They truly showed their children and the world what true love is. Laura was funny, charismatic, and beautiful. She fit so much life into 63 years and will forever be remembered by anyone who ever was blessed to meet her. She leaves behind the love of her life, Pat, her children, their spouses, Tara, Megan, and Kalvin, caring in-laws, several grandchildren, sisters, brother, and friends. Laura will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, her father in law, siblings, and her dog Batman.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Joey Graves officiating.
Visitation 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
