Shirley Lucille Davis
Age 83 of Laingsburg passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at Pleasant View.
Funeral services will be held 11 Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor LuWanda Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
Shirley was born September 13, 1935 in Glennie , the daughter of R. Kay and Zelma (Reed) Lawcock.
She retired from the United States Post Office in 1992 after 24 years of service as a clerk.
Shirley enjoyed arts and crafts such as painting and sewing and she looked forward to helping her husband with his many carpentry projects. Most of all she loved time with family and cherished taking care of the grandbabies when they were young.
She married Robert Davis in Corunna on October 3, 1953; he predeceased her on July 4, 2010.
Shirley is survived by her children Vickie Cardy, James (Karen) Davis, Donald (Carlene) Davis, Connie (Thomas) Welden and Bobbie (Damon) Vaudrin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. brother George (Sharon) Lawcock; sister Caroline Scanlon; many other loving family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, brothers Eugene "Gene" Lawcock and Kenneth Lawcock and brother-in-law Maurice Scanlon.
