Morgan, Patricia of Flushing, Michigan, age 90, died Sunday, August 4, 2024. A graveside service will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Rossell Funeral Home in Flushing, Michigan.
Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan on June 8, 1934, to Cecil and Carmel (Meredith) McCabe. Patricia grew up on the east side of Flint and graduated in 1952, as Magna cum laude and class Vice President from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Flint. Upon graduation, Patricia worked briefly at General Motors before marrying Donald Morgan on July 7, 1956, after his return from military service in Korea.
Pat’s faith provided strength as a spouse of a Korean War POW and Veteran. One of her favorite sayings was “No Cross, No Crown”. She could be found every Sunday in the front pew attending mass at St. Roberts in Flushing. She was proud to send her four children to St. Robert School and enjoyed helping with homework, especially the weekly spelling words, sporting events, and volunteering for church activities. She celebrated family birthdays by taking the family to Frankenmuth for chicken dinners. She will be greeted at the rainbow bridge by a large pack of dogs that she owned, loved, and rescued during her lifetime including Tobie, Spike, Chan, Murphy, Chauncey, Riley, Duffey, Bailey, and Dakota.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Serene Gardens in Hartland, the caregivers at the Willows in Howell, and Absolute Hospice who provided loving care and compassion to Pat while she battled Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Patricia is survived by her children, Sharon Stanfield of Fenton, MI, Steven Morgan of Atlanta, GA, , and David and wife Angela Morgan of Williamston, MI; grandchildren, Malorie Stanfield of Fenton, MI, Kendra Stanfield of Dallas, Texas, Garrett Stanfield of St. Charles, MI, Megan and husband David Taylor of McKinney, TX, Micayla and husband Keith Yazici of Plano, TX, Martin and wife Kyee Morgan of Dallas, TX, Jessica, Dawson, Ashley and Jacob Morgan, all of Williamston, MI; in addition to four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Morgan of Flushing; son, Michael (Michele) Morgan of Plano, TX; her sister, Darlene (McCabe) Robinson, and her sister Margaret (McCabe) Wright.
