PRICE, Nelson - Age 86, of Fenton, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 12, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Burial in Tyrone Memory Gardens, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church, Food Pantry or the Fenton Lions Club.
Nelson was born September 11, 1930 in Clio, the son of Nelson Matis and Forence Belle (LoRee) Price. He married Eileen McGowan September 20, 1986 in Fenton. He retired from GM Fisher I in 1988 after 39+ years of service. Nelson had resided in Fenton since 1971 coming from Flint. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and attended Eustis United Methodist Church in Florida. He also was a member of the Fenton Lions Club.
Surviving are: his wife, Eileen; children, Chris (Sara) Price of Bath, LuAnne (Bill) Reed of Bremen, Kathleen (John) Thomas of Linden, Kevin (Diane) Price of Webberville, Robin June of Linden, Valerie Foltz of Fenton, and David Foltz of Dayton, OH; 6 grandchildren, Jesse, Crystal, Jennifer, Martha, Katie, and Kevin; 6 great grandchidlren, Dominic, Evan, Alyssia, Madilyn, Collin, and Brodrick; and 1 expected great grandchild; brother, Eldon (Velma) Price of Swartz Creek; sister, Charlene Martin of Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maybelle Foster and Mary Ellen Harmon; and brother, Warren Price. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
