GRUBB, Galen Lester - Of Burton, age 85, died Friday, July 1, 2016
at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 10:30am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Monsignor Jerry Vincke officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church Men's Group.
Visitation 1-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Galen was born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania on September 25, 1930, the son of the late Curtis and Elda Grubb and was a resident of Burton since 1995. He married Della Olsick on February 25, 1950 in Pennsylvania and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2010. Galen worked as a truck driver for A&P. He owned his own trucking company, 2G’s Trucking. Galen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Surviving are 3 children, Ronald Grubb, Cindy Stewart and Brian Grubb;
7 Grandchildren;
11 Great-grandchildren;
3 Brothers and 2 Sisters;
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
The family request that everyone dress casually for the funeral.
