Roderick (Rick) Rieser went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at McLaren Hospital, Lapeer.
Rick attended grade school at Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak and high school at Assumption in Canada. He was a world traveler. Rick and his wife Kathy attended Lapeer Church of the Nazarene. Rick worked photography with his father and retired from screen printing. He was very patriotic and was a member of the American Legion and was a former honor guard. He was also a member of Eagles F.O.E. 2427. Rick enjoyed camping, playing cards, music and spending time with friends and family. He was a fun loving, friendly and caring man who spent countless hours praying for others and he will be sorely missed.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter, Brett (Paul) Multer of NC, son, Ryan Rieser of NC; grandchildren, Kayla Rieser of NC, Holden Multer of NC, Austin (Michelle) Allison; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Allison; Sisters, Barb (Bill) Rieser, Evelyn Ritz of IO; brothers, Lawrence (Kelly) Reid, Leonard (Judy) Reid, Brian (Inger) Reid of CA; Kathy’s siblings and Rick’s special Euchre buddies, Pat (Mike) Miller, Betty Jane Gwinn, Beth Anne Gwinn of TN, Dana Gwinn of TN, Joy (Richard) Klincko of FL, Betty (Larry) Fresch of CA, Perry (Leann) Gwinn; many nieces and nephews; special neighbor Bonnie; special house guest Matthew; numerous lifelong friends.
Rick was preceded by his parents Rod & Soph Rieser, his wife’s parents, his biological parents, and two brother’s-in-law.
Friends may visit with the Rieser family at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors-Capstick Chapel on Saturday, January 27th from 2-5 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 PM with Pastor Drew Jolly officiating. |
