GLANTON, Claudine “Redd” Opal – of Burton, age 95, passed away July 7, 2016 at the Pines of Burton. Cremation has taken place and per Claudine’s wishes, no services will be held. A private burial will take place in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Redd was born in Flint, MI on September 25, 1920, daughter of the late Jesse and Sarah (Babcock) Powers. She married James T. Glanton on November 5, 1938 in Angolia, IN and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2009.
Redd is survived by her children, Barbara Benedict, Beverly (Alvin) Davis, Patricia Rowan, James (Marion) Glanton; grandchildren, Richard (Nanette) Benedict, Brian (Tammy) Benedict, Mark (Barbara) Benedict, Erin (Lance) Fraim, Troy (Jenna) Davis, Scott (Donna) Rowan, Kevin (Yen) Rowan, Todd (Sandra) Glanton, Michael (Melissa) Glanton; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Glanton; son-in-law, Bruce.
