Lutz, Erich of Davison age 95 died Oct. 2, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral service will be held 3 pm Friday, Oct. 5, at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint. Family will receive visitors from 1 pm until time of service Friday. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Erich was born in Germany 1917, the son of Josef and Katharina (Blank) Lutz. He was joined in marriage to Margarethe and she preceded him in death August 18, 1999. They were married 56 years. Erich was a member of Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center, an avid stamp collector, enjoyed traveling with his wife and he retired from GM in 1977. Erich was a member of UAW Local 598. He is survived by brother Paul,sister Lydia, niece and nephew Margaret (David) Newberg and David (Lynda) Lutz, great niece and nephews Shelby, Mark, Matthew and nieces and nephews in Germany.
