Finkbeiner, Thomas A. of Flushing, age 82, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Rossell Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the Swartz Creek Marching Band.
Thomas was born in Flint, Michigan on June 9, 1935, the son of Floyd and Ula (Wesley) Finkbeiner. He married Barbara Soper on September 7, 1963, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by AC Spark Plug, retiring after 40 years. Thomas spent his free time woodworking and loved making and giving away hand made wooden crafts. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and his daily naps. He also loved attending his grandchildren’s band concerts and family gatherings.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; children, Denise and husband Ryan Maginity, Dennis and wife Leigh Green, Douglas Green; bonus children, Sal and wife Christine Ausiello, Lyndia Poe; grandchildren, Amy and husband Tai, Douglas and wife Ashley, Owen, Sydney, Meryl, Yousef, Ali, Sarah; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bill, Loretta, and Susie. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Phyllis, Lois, and Jack.
