McDONOUGH, James Lawrence – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 27, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jim Offrink officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, immediately following the service in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-8 PM Thursday, December 26, 2019 and 10-11 AM Friday, December 27, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Community Services, Inc. Cornerstone Westwood, 3207 Finney Court, Flint, MI 48504, in memory of Jim.
Jim was born in Flint, MI on May 15, 1936, son of the late Edward and Delilah (Ream) McDonough. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. Jim married Constance Rogers on November 6, 1965. He retired from AC Spark Plug in 1999 after 46 years of service. Jim volunteered with the Genesee Township Fire Dept. #1 for 16 years. He was also a Cub Scout Master for many years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie McDonough; 5 children, Junell (Steve) Fuhr, Troy (Shirleen) Pfeiffer, Tracy McDonough, Kathleen (Richard) McDonough and James (Lisa) McDonough; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Michael, Steven, Kimberly, Naima, Lila, Dena, Jeremy, Jim and Allison; many great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Carol) McDonough; 3 sisters, Barbara Finkbeiner, Marion (Bob) Isaacson and Carolyn (Larry) McDonald; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Delilah McDonough.
