Morgan, Suzanne Clark of Flushing, age 95, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Serene Gardens of Grand Blanc. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Father Anthony Brooks will be officiating. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic School or Powers Catholic High School.
Suzanne was born in Flint, Michigan, January 1, 1930, the daughter of Herman and Naomi (Pound) Pierce. She attended Flint Public Schools where she met Richard Morgan. They were high school sweethearts and graduated from Flint Northern High School. They were married November 10, 1951 and celebrated 68 years of marriage before Rick’s passing in 2020. Suzanne received her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and spent her career working as a much loved educator for St. Agnes and St. Robert Catholic Schools. She was a very talented seamstress and crafter making everything from clothing to quilts for family members, the pediatric department at McLaren Hospital, and prayer quilts. She was a gracious host who was famous for keeping her cookie jar full of delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. Her grandchildren loved spending time swimming in the backyard pool with their cousins and going to grandma’s house especially for the holidays. Sue was a voracious reader and belonged to various book clubs. She was also a faithful member of St. Robert Catholic Church. Prior to her husband’s death, she and Rick spent many days in Charlevoix during the warmer weather.
Suzanne is survived by her children Jeff (Laurie) Morgan, Kathy (Rob) Fehrenbach, Michael (Maria) Morgan, Matthew Morgan: daughters-in-law Tacie Morgan and Theo Morgan; grandchildren, Kelly, Richard (Pam), Kate (Jared), Tyler (Michelle), Mark (Morgan), Tom (Meagan), John, Matthew (Jennifer) Emily, Kathryn (AJ) Caroline (Erik), Peter, Hannah, Madison; great-grandchildren Vera, Vivian, Willa, Rylen, Sydney, Hudson, Remington, and Harper. Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on April 30, 2020; sons, Guy and Gregory Morgan 2022; and her parents. |
