BELLINGER, Lyle – of Mt. Morris, age 84, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at McLaren – Flint. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Todd Register officiating. Burial to follow in West Vienna Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Lyle was born February 16, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leslie and Mildred (Johnson) Bellinger. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1952. Lyle married Ila Severn on June 27, 1953 in Mt. Morris. He proudly served in the United States National Guard for 8 years. Lyle retired from AC Spark Plug in 1995 with 43 years seniority and was a member of UAW Local #651. He was also a member of United Way Worldwide. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, and riding ATV’s. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in Oscoda. His favorite pastime was pruning his Christmas trees. He looked forward to selling them during the Christmas season so he could mingle with his customers.
Surviving are: Wife, Ila Bellinger; Children: Lesley Anderson and Thomas (Kelly) Bellinger; Grandchildren: Jason (Elizabeth) Werda, Lyle (Triska Forysth) Alexander, Matthew Ranney, and Heather Ames; Great grandchildren: Makayla, Blake Makenzie, Easton, and Makayla; Brother, Wayne (Kathy) Bellinger; Sister, Mona English, and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: Sister, Lois Nelson, Brother-in-law, Dean Nelson; Son-in-laws: Larry Anderson and Robert Alexander.
