HADDIX, Donald T. – of Davison, age 89, went home when his Lord called his name on March 5, 2020 at WellBridge of Fenton. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Associate Pastor Robert Norton officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 1-8 PM and 10 AM until time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Donald was born in Flint, MI on January 17, 1931, son of the late Thane A. and Beatrice E. (Taylor) Haddix. He married Shirley Jean Michael on January 19, 1973 at Burton United Methodist Church in Grand Blanc. Don worked as a job setter with Buick Motor Division, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed walking and running. Don had a green thumb, some of his favorite flowers were raising rose of sharon and hollyhocks.
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Haddix; children, Daniel Haddix, Randolph Haddix, Donald (Tetyana) Haddix, Bradley (Joy) Haddix and Bryan (Cheryl) Haddix; stepson, Carey (Wesley) Michael; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice “Lucille” Locke. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Miller, Joyce Fournier and Joan Schlieger.
