Hagan, Dr. Raymond M. of Flushing, age 90, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at his home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Sharp will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Historical Society, Mott Children’s Heath Center Dentistry Department or U of M Dental School.
Raymond was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on December 2, 1928, the son of Hubert and Rhoda (McDonald) Hagan. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Albian College and later received his Doctorate degree from U of M School of Dentistry. After a few years in practice, Raymond served in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He opened his own dental practice in Flushing and remained in the community for over 50 years. On July 7, 1977, Raymond married Jean E. Graham. Together they enjoyed building a winter home in Marco Island, Florida. Before his retirement, Raymond enjoyed fishing in Canada and had a love of boating. He was also a history buff, most interested in people and places.
Raymond is survived by his wife Jean; son, Ronald C. Wixson; six grandchildren; brother, Edmund H. and wife Patricia Hagan; two beloved Yorkie dogs, Annie and Fiona. He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy L. and James C. Rush.
