MURAWSKI, Helen F. – Of Flushing, age 84, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at her residence.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 North Cherry Street, Flushing, Father Anthony Brooks officiating.
Mrs. Murawski will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice.
Helen was born in Bay City, MI on October 27, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline Satkowiak. She was a resident of the Flint/Flushing area since 1955.
On June 29, 1957 she married Gerald Murawski.
Mrs. Murawski was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Nurses Association. She retired, in 1996, from McLaren Hospital as an afternoon shift supervisor after 39 years of service.
Surviving are two children, Mary Jo and husband Steven MacLean and Paul Robert, Sr.;
four grandchildren, John, Mark, Elizabeth and Paul Robert, Jr.;
two sisters, Sister Mary Thomasine and Pauline (Chet) Latocki;
brother, Robert (Luann) Satkowiak;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; sister, Albina; 5 brothers, Matthew, Frank, Leo, Raymond and Lewis.
