OKER, Billie "Teri" Mae, age 83, of Flint, passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at McLaren - Flint. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd, Flint, MI 48507. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio at a later date. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service at 1 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Genesee County Humane Society or the Paws for Life Adoption and Rescue.
Teri was born on October 22, 1935, to Mr. and Mrs. Armus and Hazel (West) Oker. She worked for the United States Post Office for many years before her retirement working as a clerk and a carrier. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine ElSaid Court #28 and The Order of The Eastern Star. In her free time, she enjoyed playing card games and games on her phone, riding motorcycles, camping and her love for animals.
She is survived by her special friend, Margaret Manley; niece, Sharon Durish; four great-nieces, Patty (Ron) Pratter, Sandra (Craig) Matzinger, Cheryl Kreitz and Anna (Randy) Craig.
Teri was preceded in death by her Parents and brother, Leroy Gorbutt.
