LEWIS, MELVIN age 86, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Services will be 11:30 A.M. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta St., Burton, MI. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary being Prayed at 7:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Melvin was born May 31, 1926 in Flint, MI. to parents Edward and Hazel (Rockwell) Lewis. He worked for many years for Kramer Brothers Freight Lines and retired from the Teamsters. Melvin served in the U.S. Army during WW II in Germany. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus - Davison and was a long time member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are children Bill (Sandy) Lewis, Lori Ayers, Louanne Ehrhart; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister Frances Wright and many nieces and nephews.
