SCHURG, Karl F. – of Clio, age 77, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 520 Butler St. in Clio. Vicar JohnDavid Zischke officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Saginaw with military honors. Family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 2-8PM and at the Church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service. Contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
Karl was born October 17, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Karl E. and Anna (Winkle) Schurg. He graduated from Redford Union High School. Karl married Shirley E. Wedding on May 22, 1964. Mr. Schurg is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a tool maker most of his life and retired in 2007. Karl was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He enjoyed boating, traveling, model trains and also had a crazy sock collection.
Surviving are: Wife, Shirley Schurg of Clio and daughter, Pamela (Charles) Boyle of Clio. Karl was also preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph Schurg. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
