FREE (HARVEY), Dora F. – Of Grand Blanc, age 73, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 5176 West Court Street, Flint, Pastor Martin B. Watkins officiating.
Visitation 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Free will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Private burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
Dora was born in Lake City, Arkansas on March 21, 1944.
She graduated from Bentley High School in 1962.
On July 13, 1963 she married Clifford Free at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Free was a teacher at the church for many years and was involved with the Girl Scouts.
She had a passion for reading and loved the Lord and her church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are husband, Clifford;
children, Cheryl and John Boone,
Mark and Kittie Free,
Greg Free;
7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
