Zawol, Maxine Beatrice - Age 86, of Flint , died Monday October 7, 2013. A funeral mass will be will be held 12:00PM Saturday, October 12, 2013, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint. Father Robert Copeland celebrant. Burial will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitations will be held 6PM to 8PM Thursday, 1PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM Friday with a 7:00PM Rosary being prayed on Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will also be held at 11AM to 12PM at the church on Saturday. Those desiring to make contributions may do so to Loving Hands Adult Day Care or to St. Pius X Catholic Church. Maxine was born May 11, 1927 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late John and Doris (Zielinski) Petrick. She married Tadeusz Zawol in Flint on June 30, 1951 and she preceded her in death on October 22, 1999. Mrs. Zawol was an All Saints High School graduate and was the First woman Graduate of Citizens Bank School. She worked for Citizens Bank as a Vice President Secretary and for Primerica bank as a sales broker. Maxine was a Member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 60 years, she was the Past President of the Polish Legion of American Veterans. Auxiliary Post #8, Lifetime Member of Dom Polski, member and model for the Goodwill Auxiliary Style Shows, a member of the American Legion Post #342 and member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Surviving her are: son, Edward and Marie Zawol of Canada, daughters, Ann and Thomas Thalhammer of Flint, Janice Zawol of Vassar; grandchildren, Doris and Jason Hogan of Flint, Edward Zowal of Midland, Matthew Zawol of Vasser, Thomas and Nicole Rosel of Coopersville; great grandchildren, Kayla Hogan, Paige Hogan, Austin Rosel, Taylore Rosel; brother, Victor and Barb Petrick of Florida; sisters, Phyllis Bagwell of Flint, Patricia and Dwight Morris of Kentucky, Rosemary and Fred Havercroft of Fenton.
