BASALONE, Shelly Lynn - Age 51, of Gaines, died Thursday, July 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 24, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Shelly was born December 19, 1965 in Flint the daughter of Victor Lee and Dianna Lynn (Rose) Montrull. She married Tony E. Basalone September 21, 1992 in Flint. She had resided in Gaines since 2003 coming from Mt. Morris. She was employed by GM Orion Assembly in Lake Orion. Shelly loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are: her husband, Tony; children, Candise (Neil) Marshall of Swartz Creek and Tony (Jenna) Basalone of Durand; 3 grandchildren, Faith, Neil III, and Aiden; mother, Dianna (Russell) Funsch of Roscommon; step mother, Barbara Montrull of Grand Blanc; siblings, Rhonda (Joe) Harding of Tennessee, Jimmy (Shawn) Montrull of Flint, Brandon (Megan) Montrull of Royal Oak, Sean (Christina) Etson of Flint, Scott (Julie) Etson of Flushing, Jeffery Etson of Tennessee, Brian (Michelle) Etson of Grand Blanc, Joe (Christine) Funsch of Pinconning, and Jeff (Barbara) Funsch of Caro; and several nieces and nephews.
