MINTO, June “Junebug” Winnifred (Wigard) – of Davison, MI, and Bradenton Beach, FL, age 90, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 West Flint Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Monday, August 26, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lapeer County Medical Care Facility-Suncrest, Kimberly’s residence, in June’s memory.
June was born in Flint, MI on June 6, 1929, daughter of the late Willard and Ruth (Millie) Wigard. She married Robert Clayton Minto on September 9, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2014. June was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1947. After high school, June furthered her education graduating from Hurley Nursing School in 1950 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Hurley Hospital. June was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was one of the original owners of the Davison Athletic and Country Club. She loved thrift shopping, going out to lunch with her family and friends, dancing and music especially, Kenny Miles. June was always extremely generous with her gifts, her time and her love. She always made everyone feel like you were her “favorite” and friends were forever.
June is survived by 5 children, Tyrone (Susan Beattie) Minto, Kathy (Tony) Wittbrodt, Kurt (Marla Beck) Minto, Randy (Carla) Minto and Kimberly Minto; 10 grandchildren, Clayton Minto, Emily (Jeremias) Dirk, Alice (Eric) Rubert, Hannah (Molly Leach) Wittbrodt, Tony Wittbrodt III, Stephanie Wittbrodt, Kurt (Natosha) Minto II, Alex (Jen) Minto, Ashley (Rob) Soethe and Nicholas (Jackie) Minto; 15 great-grandchildren, Winona, Naomi and Elinor Dirk, Emery and Lila Rubert, Niah, Kamren and Kory Minto, Addison and Bradley Minto, Jacob and Jaxon Soethe, Trenten, Dylen and Beckham Minto; brother, Bob (Marie) Wigard; sister, Betty Potter; life-long dear friends, Dorothy Roat and Wilma Kumrits; sister-in-law, Alice; so many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Becky Minto; brother, Bud (Dolores) Wigard; sister, Vera (Ed) VanWagoner and brother-in-law, Foster Potter.
