WILSON, Patrick Allen – Of Flint, age 64, born on September 8, 1948, passed on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood
officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the North End Soup Kitchen.
Visitation 1p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Pat was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Kenneth and Deloris (Scherrer) Wilson.
Pat leaves his son, Jeremiah;
friend and son’s mother, Donna Burton;
grandson, Chase;
stepchildren, Jeremiah and Jennifer;
a large family of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Once known as “Panama Pat” for his hats, he was known for his love of music. With a harmonica in every pocket and playing with respected musicians on stage and in studio, Pat was an “old school blues man”. He especially loved jamming with Jeremiah, who Pat said was the best musician he played with. He thought those times were the best ever.
Known as Smiley, Pat was an ironworker by trade and worked around the country for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Congdon); parents; sister; brother; grandparents and best friend, Richie Thornberg.
