HUBER, Vera Evelyn. – of Montrose, age 85, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Mary's of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday, August 22, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM.
Vera was born February 6, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to the late Victor and Gladys (Moran) Pyne. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1949. Vera married Albert Gordon Huber on September 8, 1951. He preceded her in death September 15, 2002. Vera was a secretary with Montrose Schools for 5 years and also worked in the cafeteria for 12 years. She was a member of Montrose United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vera enjoyed playing Bunco.
Surviving are: Sons: Randy (Peggy) Huber, Rick (Shelly) Huber and Ron (Deanna) Huber; Daughter, Roxanne Huber (Scott Coxon); 10 grandchildren: Nick, Jon, Sarah, Jacky, Mitch, Melissa, Austin, Dylan, Chelsea and Brandyn; 10 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Peyton, Trent, Jayden, Judson, Craig "Tre", Oliver, Weston, Justin "JJ" and Sawyer; Sister, Muriel Rabb. Vera was also preceded in death by her brother, Victor Pyne and sisters: Mona Emmendorfer and Barbara Scafuri.
